I have worked in the NHS for more than 20 years both within General Practice and Children's Mental Health Services (CAMHS). In 1996 I set up a private clinic alongside my work as an NHS GP. I had a team of complementary therapists around me and together we took a special interest in emotional well being - dealing with psycho-somatic illness, depression, infertility, infant attachment, perinatal mental health and emotional resilience in children - all sorts of common issues that really need more time than it's possible to give within NHS General Practice. I continue to offer private consultations alongside my NHS practice as well as working with Shoba Manro offering a consultation service to Virgin Care on transformation in Children's Services and integration with service partners including the community and voluntary sector.
