Dr Temple graduated from Cambridge University Medical School and Addenbrooke's Hospital in 1986. She then returned to her child hood home - New Zealand where she worked as a junior doctor. In 1990 she returned to the UK and completed her training in General Practice in East Sheen, SW14. She joined a partnership in Fulham which she subsequently left to join her husband, Chris - a British Airways pilot , in Berkshire. She has two sons - Charlie, born in March 1999 and Douglas born in May 2000. In November 2002 she and her family moved to Cornwall. She has special interests in women's health, hormonal balance and lifestyle/stress management as well as integrative medicine and health informatics . In October of 1999 she opened The Carnac Clinic, a Private Family Doctor Service. This has become an internet based service and she is known as Doctor Sarah. She works as a freelance GP within the NHS. Footnote MBBS and MBBChir are both basic medical qualifications - Bachelor of medicine and surgery awarded on graduation from clinical school. MRCGP - membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners - entry by post graduate examination after minimum 3 years training in General Practice and demonstration of practical experience as well as passing written and oral examinations. DRCOG - diplomate of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists - entry by post graduate examination after a minimum six months experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. LFHom. - licenciate of the Faculty of Homeopathy - doctors who have completed one year of training in homeopathy and who have passed the Primary Health Care Examination. These doctors are able to use homeopathy in a limited way for minor ailments. |
